Job summary

St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is hiring an EP Lab Technologist to support electrophysiology procedures. You will operate in a safe patient care environment, assist physicians, and ensure equipment readiness in the heart hospital setting.

You bring 2 years EP/Cath Lab experience, relevant ARRT/RCIS/RCES or RCIS certification, and sterile technique; BLS/ACLS as required. Collaboration with circulating nurses and holding-area monitoring are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Two years Electrophysiology or Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred.
• Graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program OR Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT registration preferred; RCIS/RCES or Radiologic Technologist: Required upon hire or Certified Surgical Technologist.
• BLS and ACLS certifications as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe patient care environment for cardiac procedures.
• Operate and maintain EP lab equipment and systems.
• Position x-ray camera for fluoroscopy/angiography and pan table for views.
• Perform daily equipment checks and ensure sterile technique.
• Enter data on EP Hemodynamic Monitoring system and document steps and patient condition.
• Monitor patient condition and vital signs during procedures and communicate with nursing staff.
• Assist with hemostasis and removal of sheaths as needed.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EP lab equipment and support staff.
