Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Cardiology Technician to schedule and assist in performing EKGs, treadmill tests, ergometer studies, nuclear studies, Holter monitoring and wellness profiles for cardiac diagnosis. The role serves patients from neonates to geriatrics in a hospital setting.

Required is a high school diploma or GED with American Heart Association BLS certification; preferred is cardiology technician experience or relevant certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or post-secondary education.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and assists in performance of EKGs, treadmill, arm and bicycle ergometer, nuclear studies, Holter monitoring, signal average testing, and personal wellness profiles for diagnostic cardiac evaluation.
• Cares for patients across neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations for cardiac evaluation.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• High school diploma, equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)

PREFERRED

• One (1) year of experience as a Cardiology Technician
• Certification (EKG, CNA or similar)
