Job summary

Responsibilities

Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining and treating clinical patients.
Educates patients on wellness, prevention and early detection with resources.
Shares health care duties with other physicians to ensure physician availability.
Determines required referrals based on examination and patient needs.
Judges level of urgency for follow-ups and referrals.
Exercises final medical judgment on health care issues.
Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs.
Orders studies, tests and ancillary services.
Documents all services in patient medical records.
Reviews long-term cases requiring ongoing care.
Consults with Medical Director and staff on patient care matters.
Participates in quality improvement and continuing education programs.
