Job summary
Endeavor Health is seeking a cardiology physician to provide comprehensive medical care for patients across its integrated health system. The role involves interviewing, examining, diagnosing, and treating patients, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuous access to care.
Applicants must hold an Illinois medical license (or be pending) and possess a DEA license, with Board Certification or eligibility in Cardiology.
Qualifications
- Illinois medical license or pending.
- DEA/Controlled Substance License.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology.
Responsibilities
- Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining and treating clinical patients.
- Educates patients on wellness, prevention and early detection with materials and resources.
- Shares health care duties with other physicians to ensure availability of a physician at all times.
- Determines referrals based on examination and patient needs.
- Determines urgency of follow-up, referral/consultation appointments.
- Exercises final medical judgment on health care issues.
- Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs.
- Orders studies, tests and ancillary services.
- Documents all services in patient medical records.
- Reviews long-term cases requiring ongoing medical attention.
