Job summary

Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa, AZ seeks a Special Procedures Technologist to join a dynamic Cardiac Cath Lab and EP lab team. The role supports diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular care across multiple rooms and procedures.

Requires ARRT, BLS, ACLS, and EP experience, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and teamwork. This full-time position offers day shifts, no on-call requirement, and opportunities for growth in a leading cardiovascular program.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Requires ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• PALS certification required where applicable.
• Minimum 3 years’ Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP), or 5 years Cath Lab EP experience; 2 years in a moderate acuity environment.

Responsibilities

• Assumes direct patient care and serves as a resource for clinical support.
• Educates staff on medical imaging equipment and EP program needs; coordinates with physicians and departments.
• Facilitates patient flow and interprets policies to ensure safe, cost-effective care.
• Performs maintenance and safety inspections on imaging equipment per standards and schedules.
• Supports process improvement and quality management within the department.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to safety policies in imaging practice.
• Practices aseptic techniques and prepares instruments for cleaning after each case.
