Innova Solutions is hiring an Electrophysics Engineer/Scientist in Albuquerque, NM to work on civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering initiatives. The role focuses on developing and validating electro-optical systems, laser and EO components, and integration into higher-level platforms.

The ideal candidate has TS/SCI clearance, 5+ years of related experience, and proven expertise in EO/IR systems, laser design, and requirements development. This is a full-time contract position onsite.

• Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance Required.
• 5+ years minimum of related experience.

• Experience in EO/IR systems requirements development, integration and analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in developing architectures to integrate multiple systems into higher level systems and platforms.
• Perform trade studies, modeling, simulation, and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around complex requirements.
• Assist in designing complex electro-optical and laser systems.
• Assist in developing new and improved modeling and simulation techniques.
• Assist in development and implementation of critical tests to validate performance of designs to requirements.

Job Description

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Electrophysics Engineer/Scientist in Albuquerque, NM.

Position type: Full-time, Contract
Duration: 12+ Months
Location: Albuquerque, NM (Onsite)

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Assist in development and validation of requirements for electro-optical systems, sensor, laser, and other electromagnetic systems and components.
• Assist in developing architectures to integrate multiple systems into higher level systems and platforms.
• Perform trade studies, modeling, simulation, and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around complex requirements.
• Assist in designing complex electro-optical and laser systems.
• Assist in developing new and improved modeling and simulation techniques.
• Assist in development and implementation of critical tests to validate performance of designs to requirements.

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis. 1099 contractors and Corp-to-Corp arrangements will not be considered for this position.

The ideal candidate will have:

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance Required
• 5+ years minimum of related experience.
• Experience with Electro Optical (ex: producing specifications, tolerances, simulations, assembly, integration and test of fiber optic (F/O) sensors, systems and components, including sensors, lasers, fiber-optics, and telecommunications products).
• Experience in laser and electro-optical systems and optical communication systems requirements development, integration, testing and analysis.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in electro-optical design and analysis using Zemax, CodeV or an equivalent software design package.
• Experience performing analysis on EO/IR systems.

Pay Range and Benefits

Pay Range: Between $85 per hour-$90 per hour
