Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is seeking an Electronics Test Validation Engineer to define test strategies, plans, and cases for electronics at the component level, especially ECUs. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive testing coverage and robust validation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in testing automotive or Aerospace/Defense.
• 3+ years of related experience in design and development of electronics products.
• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in laboratory testing and equipment: Bench level, thermal chambers, Electrical, EMC, etc.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute durability, electrical and functional validation testing activities for ECU components with focus on electrical stress testing.
• Develop detailed test plans for all phases of product testing; scripts and fixtures with HW/SW design team.
• Establish traceability using requirement management tools and version control.
• Develop test strategy, test cases, and review functional and environmental test plans.
• Provide data analytics from tests conducted.
• Create test development schedules and test execution schedules.
• Investigate test failures through data analysis and failure reproduction.
• Identify and assess potential risks that could impact timing, cost or quality.
• Collaborate with Design and Engineering teams to improve Rivian products.
