Job summary

Renesas Palm Bay Operations is seeking an Electronics Burn-In Test Technician to perform a variety of manufacturing duties, including testing burn-in boards, reading schematics, debugging minor repairs, and data logging. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work with test equipment such as VOM meters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies, and a 2-year electronics qualification.

The candidate will work in a clean room environment and join a team on a 6:45am–3:15pm five-day week

Qualifications

  • 2-year technical electronics degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Basic Windows PC and Office skills (Outlook, Access, Excel).
  • Experience working with work teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform burn-in testing on boards and test sockets using measurement equipment.

  • Load/unload boards onto burn-in boards and ovens; data logging and material handling.

Job Description

Renesas Palm Bay Operations team is looking for an Electronics Burn-In Test Technician. In this position, the successful candidate will perform a variety of manufacturing duties, i.e., using measurement equipment to perform functionality testing of burn-in boards and test sockets, loading test units onto burn-in boards, loading and unloading board ovens, data logging and material handling.

Candidate will need to read schematics, debug and complete minor repairs on Burn-in boards. Candidate must be knowledgeable on electronic measurements such as voltage, current, capacitance and be able to use equipment such as VOM meter, Oscilloscope and Power supplies. Must know Ohms Law.

Candidate will be required to work in a clean room environment, including wearing clean room garments and ground strap. Candidates with previous manufacturing experience and multi-tasking is a plus.

This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret written instructions. Once trained, the candidate, will be required to work independently and meet quality and productivity expectations. This opportunity is on a five-day work week schedule 6:45am - 3:15pm. Majority of work time requires standing.

Minimum Requirements
  • 2-year Technical Electronics degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Basic Windows PC and Office skills, especially Microsoft Outlook, Access, and Excel
