Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corporation in Palm Bay, FL is seeking a Process Development Engineer to drive development and optimization of manufacturing processes that affect product quality, efficiency and competitiveness. You will collaborate with cross functional teams to design, implement and continuously improve processes in analog circuit and semiconductor device characterization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in analog circuits and semiconductor device characterization.
• Experience in semiconductor layout using tools like Cadence Virtuoso, LEdit, or a willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with Unix systems.
• Lab Equipment Skills: Automated probers, Semiconductor parameter analyzers (SPA), Source measure units (SMU), S-parameter systems, Curve Tracers, Oscilloscopes, Pulse Generators, Power Supplies.
• Hands-On Experience: breadboarding and building experimental circuits.
• Programming Abilities: Software programming experience, particularly in instrument control and automation.
• Bonus Skills: Knowledge of RMB (HP Basic) is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain test equipment, including various probers and analyzers.
• Handle wafer inventory and perform measurements on package parts.
• Conduct transient manual measurements such as Gate charge and Reverse recovery.
• Generate bond diagrams for packages and design/test boards.
• Collaborate with teams to improve manufacturing processes and equipment utilization.
• Assist in automation and instrument control programming.

• Utilize HP4062/4073 testers with EG2080, EG4090, and TEL Precio XL probers, leveraging custom RMB code.
• Work with HP8753 and Cascade full-temperature probers using HP IC-CAP software.
• Manage Agilent B1500 with a manual probe station.
• Utilize miscellaneous test equipment, including HP4145, oscilloscopes, curve tracers, and pulse generators.
• Inventory Management:
• Handle wafer inventory from previous silicon wafers.
• Measurement Tasks:
• Perform measurements on package parts.
• Conduct transient manual measurements, such as Gate charge and Reverse recovery.
• Generate Bond Diagrams for packages.
• Design and order test boards.

Qualifications

Educational Background:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent.

Experience:
