Job summary

Synapse ITS in Greenville, TX is seeking an Electronics Test Engineer to design and implement test solutions for PCBAs and electronic assemblies within our manufacturing operations.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, test automation development (C# or similar), and close collaboration with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to improve test coverage, throughput, and product reliability throughout production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in electronics test engineering.
• Experience designing, developing, or maintaining test fixtures and automated testing systems.
• Experience with test automation programming in C# or similar.
• Experience troubleshooting electronic assemblies and test equipment.
• Knowledge of PCB assembly processes and testing in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement test fixtures, test programs, and testing procedures for PCBAs and electronic assemblies.
• Develop and maintain automated test solutions using C# or similar programming languages.
• Build, qualify, troubleshoot, and maintain test fixtures and hardware for manufacturing operations.
• Support new product introductions by reviewing designs for testability and developing testing solutions.
• Troubleshoot test equipment, electronic assemblies, and production failures to identify root causes.
• Partner with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to improve test solutions in production.
• Analyze test data and failure trends to improve quality, test coverage, and throughput.
• Identify and implement improvements to reduce test cycle times and equipment downtime.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
• Maintain ISO 9001:2015 compliance and quality standards.
• Evaluate new testing technologies to enhance capabilities.
