Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Test Engineer I (1st Shift) to design, develop, and maintain test procedures and tester hardware/software for electronic circuit board production. You will review designs for testability, support diagnosis, and document procedures to support design-to-production transitions.

The role emphasizes test data analysis, reporting, calibration oversight, and potential training of staff while enforcing ISO/QS standards and safety policies on the factory floor.

Qualifications

• BS in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or related experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and drawings.
• Experience with test software/hardware development and lab instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Review circuit board designs for testability requirements.
• Support manufacturing with failure analysis, tester debugging, reduction of intermittent failures and downtime of test equipment.
• Prepare recommendations for testing and documentation from design through initial production.
• Generate reports and analysis of test data, documentation and recommendations.
• Review test equipment designs, data and RMA issues with customers regularly.
• Direct and coordinate engineering activities with testing and control apparatus.
• Calibration of instruments and control devices required to test and reduce data.
• Provide training in new procedures to production testing staff.
• Adhere to safety and company security procedures.
