Job summary

Det-Tronics in Minneapolis builds and maintains flame and gas detection products and systems, ensuring safe, secure environments. The Test/Calibration Technician supports Production Engineering, conducts functional testing, calibration, and repair of assemblies, and helps implement corrective actions to reduce failures.

Candidates will analyze data using Excel/Minitab, follow engineering specs, and work with cross-functional teams to meet production and quality goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience testing, calibrating, and/or repairing electronic assemblies
• Proficient with Excel and data analysis for root-cause findings
• Ability to create/edit production test processes and fixtures
• Reads schematics, assembly prints, and technical procedures
• Strong written and verbal communication in cross-functional teams
• Willing to work overtime/weekends as required

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing, calibration, and repair of assemblies; train others.
• Verify tests meet latest specs using procedures, schematics, and prints.
• Troubleshoot to component level and perform rework per quality standards.
• Collect and maintain repair data to improve processes and quality.
• Analyze data to identify improvements and verify corrective actions.
• Use ACE tools to identify root causes and measure action effectiveness.
• Load and monitor run-in areas; assist design and repair fixtures.
• Maintain and edit test procedures; support other areas to meet schedules.
• Assist in experiments using Excel and Minitab; document results.
