Job summary

Wenzel Associates, Inc. in Austin, TX seeks an Electronics Test Development Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated test stations bridging R&D and manufacturing. You will develop test infrastructure to validate new electronic/RF hardware and ensure quality in high-volume production.

Responsibilities include test architecture, automation with LabVIEW, hardware interface design, validation, and SOP documentation; apply DFT principles to improve yield and test efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with proven relative experience.
  • Five years of LabVIEW 2020-2026 experience for test development and instrument automation; familiarity with Actor Framework and/or Python 3.1+.

Responsibilities

  • Test Architecture: design and develop automated test equipment (ATE), test fixtures, and complex electronic systems.
  • Test Automation: write, debug, and maintain automated test software using LabVIEW 2020-2026; learn LabVIEW implementations as needed.
  • Hardware Design: create custom test interfaces, develop rack-based test stations.
  • Validation & Debug: collaborate with engineers and technicians to define test plans and perform root-cause failure analysis.
  • Yield Optimization: analyze test data and statistics to optimize test coverage and reduce test time.
  • Documentation: author SOPs, test coverage reports, and DFT guidelines.
