Job summary

ZelTech is seeking an Electronics Technician to provide on-site, electronic tester, research, development and test support at CCSFS. You will perform planning, upkeep, maintenance and repairs of electronic sensors and related equipment.

The role requires high school diploma, 4–10 years related experience, and eligibility for a secret clearance. Strong problem-solving, data gathering, and clear communication are essential, along with RF familiarity and soldering skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• 4 - 10 years related experience
• Eligible to obtain a secret security clearance
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to present technical information to non-technical end users
• Judgment and multi-tasking in job duties
• May support on special projects
• Eagle PCB design software and PCB fabrication
• NMEA-2000 network configuration
• Waterproofing/weatherproofing electrical components
• Familiar with circuit analysis and microcontrollers
• Familiar with RF equipment
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be a US citizen
• Background and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance and minor repairs on electronic sensors and equipment
• Support fabrication, modification, bench test, calibration and troubleshooting of prototypes
• Coordinate remote sensor test maintenance and readiness for operations
• Assist with test support projects and field support for project assignments
• Provide hands-on support for Cape test operations
• Ensure compliance with safety standards
• Identify equipment and electronics deficiencies
• Support technical projects and program activities
• Design, develop and integrate electrical components into developmental systems
• Provide status reporting to synchronize missions
