Job summary

Sigma Defense is seeking an Electronics Technician Maintenance I to maintain, repair, troubleshoot, modify, and install electronic equipment and related devices. The role requires performing RF measurements and applying electronics knowledge to diagnose malfunctions, with potential field deployments in challenging environments.

Ideal candidates have military-style experience, a willingness to work in varied weather, and the ability to obtain/maintain an active Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, modifying, and installing electronic equipment.
• Ability to take measurements with spectrum analyzer, digital multimeter, and other precision RF instruments.
• Apply technical knowledge of electronics principles to determine equipment malfunctions.
• Heavy lifting and working in a military training environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, modify, and install various types of electronic equipment and related devices.
• Take measurements with spectrum analyzer, digital multimeter, and other precision RF instruments.
• Apply technical knowledge of electronics principles to determine equipment malfunctions.
• Replace components, wire circuits, and repair simple electronic equipment.
• Restore equipment from a non-working state to a working state.
• Apply technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technician to solve equipment issues.
• Perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions.
• Receive technical guidance from supervisors or higher-level technicians.
• Heavy lifting, working in inclement weather, climbing on vehicles, and working in a military training environment.
