Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Electronics Technician in Buffalo, NY to test and troubleshoot RF and digital assemblies. You will work in a state-of-the-art facility as part of the Amherst Systems team, performing detailed testing under a microscope and collaborating with engineers to refine test procedures.

The role requires 2 years of related experience or an electronics degree, strong attention to detail, and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant experience or an Associate’s degree in electronics.
• Experience reading drawings, wire lists, and test procedures.
• Experience in testing and troubleshooting electronic assemblies.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot RF products including RF microelectronics, RF amplifiers, switches, and mixers.
• Test and troubleshoot digital circuit cards.
• Analyze equipment operating characteristics to isolate malfunctions in products and test systems.
• Diagnose non-conformances using schematics, wiring diagrams, and source control drawings.
• Perform RF tuning on microelectronics under a microscope.
• Maintenance or calibration on test equipment.
• Record and verify entries in data collection and test systems.
• Interpret and recommend corrective action to test findings.
• Document actions in applicable forms.
• Perform a variety of tasks from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies.
• Learn tasks under a microscope on very small assemblies with high manual dexterity and precision.
• Record production data in travelers, shop floor systems, and quality records.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to modify test procedures.
• Follow safety, ESD, FOD, and cleanliness guidelines.
• Complete in-house workmanship criteria training classes.
