Cedar Fair Entertainment Company in Buena Park, CA is seeking an Electrical Technician to inspect, install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, alarm, lighting, building electrical, and sound systems used in rides and events.

The role covers PLCs, radio, CCTV, lighting plots, and collaboration with Ride Maintenance staff to keep attractions safe and performing. Strong math, documentation, and safety practices are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school is preferred, but not required.
• Working knowledge of the proper utilization and care of hand and power tools and maintenance equipment.
• Experience with logic systems including relay and Programmable logic control.
• Experience with drives, including AC frequency and DC drives.

Responsibilities

• Repair, program, and maintain 2‑way radio equipment. Repair and maintain CCTV cameras, supporting monitors and recording equipment.
• Repair and maintain PLCs, specifically Allen‑Bradley PLCs.
• Support Ride Maintenance Technicians on repairs to rides, vehicles and/or show equipment.
• Maintain various electronic field devices such as sensors, amplifiers, etc. and document systems.
• Generate and update lighting paperwork such as Instrument Schedule, Circuiting, and Patching for the light plot.
