Job summary

Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA is seeking an Electrical Technician responsible for inspecting, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical components, alarm systems, lighting, building electrical systems, and sound systems. Responsibilities include repairing and maintaining 2-way radio equipment, Allen-Bradley PLCs, ride support, and documenting lighting plots and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Associate degree preferred but not required.
• Experience with hand and power tools and maintenance equipment.
• Experience with logic systems including relay and PLCs.
• Experience with AC/DC drives.
• Ability to read/write and communicate in English.
• Able to work safely at heights up to 320 feet.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays; pass drug test.
• Able to pass background check and have a valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Repair, install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components, alarm systems, lighting, building electrical, and sound systems.
• Repair and maintain 2-way radio equipment and CCTV systems.
• Repair and maintain Allen‑Bradley PLCs.
• Support Ride Maintenance Technicians on rides, vehicles, or show equipment.
• Maintain lighting paperwork and light plots within budget and show requirements.
• Provide system training and documentation.
• Keep records up to date and accessible.
