Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in New Jersey seeks a test technician to apply electronic theory to test, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate digital and analog circuit boards to component level. You may work with sales and design engineering to resolve technical problems and draft test procedures, with occasional overtime.

The role emphasizes independent work, strong communication, and accurate data reporting, reporting to the Production Manager in a production setting.

Qualifications

Two-year degree in electronic technology or equivalent work experience.
BSEE or BSCET preferred.
Strong skill set in digital and analog technology.
Independent worker with good communication and organizational skills.
Two years testing of digital and analog electronics equipment in a production environment helpful.

Responsibilities

Confirms correct operation of digital and analog circuit boards.
Performs fault isolation with standard test equipment and AOI and repair items once fault is isolated.
Drafts and maintains test procedures and test documentation.
Follows approved board level test procedures and ensures correct equipment operation for a full range of self-manufactured and purchased products.
Participates in Source Inspections.
Performs other tasks as assigned by supervision.
Occasional overtime will be required.
