Job summary

SAIC is seeking a dedicated Electronics Technician at NSWC Crane, IN to join our team. You will perform hands-on assembly, testing, and repair of complex electronic systems, interpreting diagrams and using test equipment to verify functionality.

The role requires IPC J-STD-001 and IPC 7711/7721 knowledge, the ability to obtain a secret clearance, and meticulous adherence to SOPs, quality standards, and safety protocols while maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• HS graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain secret clearance; Interim clearance required to start.
• IPC J-STD-001 and IPC 7711/7721 certifications preferred or ability to obtain.
• Experience reading circuit schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Hands-on use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, and soldering stations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, solder, and rework PCBs to IPC standards.
• Read and interpret complex schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Diagnose faults at component level and troubleshoot.
• Operate lab equipment: multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies.
• Document test results and maintain records in Word/Excel.
