Job summary

The Electronics Technician Maintenance II under TACOM‑ANAD program performs intermediate-level electronic maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, repair, modification, and testing of TACOM-managed systems. The technician applies a strong understanding of electronic theory and system integration to diagnose malfunctions, repair complex assemblies, and restore equipment to full operational capability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; supplemental technical or vocational training preferred
• Journeyman license with a minimum of four years experience and a state license
• Typically 3-5 years of experience performing electronic maintenance and repair in an industrial, military, or technical environment
• Solid working knowledge of electronic theory, diagnostic techniques, and system-level troubleshooting
• Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting electronic schematics, drawings, and technical manuals
• Proficiency using electronic test instruments (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators)
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex electronic issues
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Ability to work in a structured, compliance driven environment
• Ability to perform work in physically demanding environments
• Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (as required)
• U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• The Electronics Technician Maintenance II applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.
• Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.
• This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.
