This position supports E-OMS operational objectives which includes interfacing with military and civilian customers to ensure mission success. Primary job function will be operations and maintenance support of the D-3 Radar Systems which are used to support Eglin/Tyndall AFB test missions and to accomplish maintenance and mission support objectives, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of assigned systems/equipment. Additional technical responsibilities may include cross training to operate and maintain ground-to-air radio, line-of-site microwave, telemetry, data, and site communications systems.
Must be a technical or service school graduate in electronics and have two years' experience as an Electronics Technician. Must possess a good operational knowledge of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and frequency counters. Must be capable of working with limited supervision.
Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Observes company quality, safety, environmental, security and administrative policies; supports Process Improvement. Must be able to climb antenna towers with ladders/safety climb devices to heights of 45 to 100 feet, lift 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, have a valid driver's license.
Will be required to work outside in hot and cold weather.
