ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN, MAINTENANCE III
Downrange, Test Site D-3, Cape San Blas, FL

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This position supports E-OMS operational objectives which includes interfacing with military and civilian customers to ensure mission success. Primary job function will be operations and maintenance support of the D-3 Radar Systems which are used to support Eglin/Tyndall AFB test missions and to accomplish maintenance and mission support objectives, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of assigned systems/equipment. Additional technical responsibilities may include cross training to operate and maintain ground-to-air radio, line-of-site microwave, telemetry, data, and site communications systems.
GENERAL DUTIES:
OTHER DUTIES: Vehicle operator, safety, supply, housekeeping, plant-in-place records, test equipment, and courier will be assigned. Will be required to work overtime and weekends as needed. May be required to handle hazardous material/hazardous waste.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Associate degree or training certificates in electronics systems from trade schools, colleges, military, etc. with five years' experience as an Electronics Technician. Must possess a good operational knowledge of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and frequency counters. Must be capable of working with limited supervision.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Observes company quality, safety, environmental, security and administrative policies. Must be able to climb antenna towers with ladders/safety climb devices to heights of 45 to 100 feet, lift 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, have a valid drivers' license
WORK ENVIRONMENT: May perform work assignments in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment. Some tasks and assignments such as the installation; operation; and maintenance of mobile systems, aircraft systems, or range instrumentation will require work performance in outside environments in heat or cold with exposure to the conditions typical of various work locations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Required to climb, bend, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds, pull, or carry heavy items.
