Job summary

The Washington State Department of Corrections is hiring a permanent Electronics Technician 4 at Coyote Ridge Corrections Center. The role installs, maintains, tests and repairs limited energy electronic systems to ensure safety, security and reliable operations for custody and staff.

You will maintain SEN, Motorola radio systems, fire alarms, door controls, CCTV (Genetec) and related infrastructure, while documenting work and coordinating upgrades with supervisors and vendors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Valid Washington State Driver's License.
• Ability to obtain NICET Certification within two years (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electronic systems throughout the facility.
• Provide maintenance support, parts replacement and administration for SEN, Motorola radios, fire alarm, doors, CCTV, intercoms and access systems.
• Document work activities and update schematics and diagrams; communicate status with supervisors and vendors.
• Perform preventative maintenance including UPS and life-safety devices inspections.
• Assist with project work and other duties as assigned by supervisors.
