Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of SIMPLEX fire alarm or similar system; experience with visual media and cable TV systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, plans, and sketches; estimate materials; supervise incarcerated workers when needed.
• Knowledge of electrical trades, codes, and safety precautions.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs communications, fire alarm, surveillance, and electronic control systems.
• Maintain and monitor SIMPLEX fire alarm systems facility-wide and provide 24-hour maintenance.
• Program and monitor PLC systems controlling interior, exterior, and perimeter security.
• Maintain and repair two major surveillance systems (DVR and 180+ cameras).
• Support IT with issue resolution and assist in upgrades and installations.
