Job summary

Long Wave Inc. in Hawaii seeks a skilled Electronics Technician to maintain and repair ground radio communications systems, including transmitters and antennas.

You’ll interpret schematics, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensure system readiness in varying conditions. The role requires Navy ET training, 3+ years general electronics experience, and the ability to work rotating shifts and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of Navy Electronics Technician A/C School or equivalent training with documentation.
• Minimum of 3 years electronics maintenance experience on complex systems.
• At least 1 year experience supporting RF systems (HF/VHF/UHF/ELF).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on ground radio communications systems and equipment.
• Inspect equipment at scheduled intervals for operational readiness.
• Troubleshoot and isolate malfunctions using diagnostics and schematics.
• Repair, overhaul, and modify RF systems including transmitters and antennas.
• Replace defective components and perform operational checks.
• Tune, adjust, align, and calibrate equipment for optimal performance.
• Fabricate and install antenna systems and transmission lines.
• Test repaired components with bench setups and diagnostics.
• Maintain maintenance and inspection records and logs.
• Record meter readings and performance data.
• Collaborate with management and customers to resolve issues.
• Support additional duties as assigned.
