Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking an Electronic Technician C - Range Communications to support PMRF in Kekaha, Kauai. Responsibilities include operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating, and installing telecom systems and associated networking for voice, video, and data.

Requires experience with OSI model, Windows/Linux, soldering, and security clearances; travel to remote Hawaii locations and at-sea assignments may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus related training
• Associates degree or Navy A school training in Basic Electricity and Electronics Systems
• Soldering certificate or equivalent training
• DOD 8570.01-M certification within 60 days of employment
• Certification in Computing Environment within six months of employment
• Experience with OSI model and Linux/Windows environments
• Knowledge of electronics schematics and test equipment

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor, and maintain range communications systems and equipment.
• Perform periodic inspections and maintenance per procedures/OEM guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and repair using electronic/mechanical schematics and test equipment.
• Calibrate, test, and accept new/relocated systems.
• Handle COMSEC functions including materials handling and destruction.
• Travel for operations/maintenance at other Hawaii locations and at sea as needed
