Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Instrumentation Technician to support calibration, automation, and data acquisition across lab and test environments. You will calibrate equipment, interpret procedures, and collaborate with engineering on test setups.

The role requires an associate degree in engineering tech or 5+ years of related experience, plus ISO 17025 familiarity. A strong safety mindset and ability to work with diverse teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in electrical engineering technology or five years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working with ISO 17025 required.

Responsibilities

• Calibrates, operates, and maintains instrumentation, automation, and data acquisition equipment.
• Reads and interprets test plans, procedures, and schematics; provides feedback to design and engineering to finalize plans and procedures.
• Designs and fabricates electrical/mechanical test fixtures.
• Creates and utilizes programs within MET/CAL and LabVIEW environments.
• Operates and troubleshoots a wide variety of audio/visual equipment.
• Assists Sr. Instrumentation Technicians and/or Test Engineers with advanced data acquisition and automation projects.
