Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Electronics Technician 2 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) team.

The role involves field installations, maintenance, and testing of electronic security services for federal, local, and commercial clients, with a focus on intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, and IT systems. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of electronics experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance on multiple systems.
• Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Preferred vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, CCTV systems (CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch).

Responsibilities

• Execute on-site installations, maintenance and repairs of electronic security systems.
• Conduct site surveys, configure hardware/software and test systems for proper operation.
• Provide technical support to customers and communicate with project teams.
• Ensure compliance with NEC standards and safety policies.
• Collaborate with the SES team to plan, document and execute tasks.
