Job summary

The Electronics Technician II position at Caswell Developmental Center, part of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, handles troubleshooting and maintenance of fire alarms, building controls, CCTV, patient monitors, and related systems. The role requires documenting inspections, supporting other trades, and upholding essential personnel duties.

Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday with on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with Andover, EcoStruxure, Invensys, Trane, Johnson Controls, and other energy management and boiler controls systems.
• Experience working with PLC’s including programming, troubleshooting, and replacement.
• Experience in troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and installing Simplex fire alarm systems.
• Familiarity with Voice and Data infrastructure, VoIP Paging, and auxiliary devices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain fire alarms, building automation controls, CCTV distribution, video surveillance, patient monitors, lifts, UPS systems, and related equipment.
• Maintain documentation of system inspections and repairs; provide technical support to other trades as needed.
