The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is one of the largest, most complex agencies in the state, and has approximately 17,000 employees. It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence.
The Electronics Technician II is responsible for the troubleshooting and maintenance of many different systems to include but not limited to: Fire Alarms, Building Automation Controls, CATV distribution, Video Surveillance, Patient Monitors, Overhead/Portable Lifts, UPS systems, and misc. electronic equipment. Utilize tools and test equipment associated with the trade. Maintain documentation of system inspections and repairs. Provide technical support to other trades as needed to ensure all systems are 100%. Position resides within the Telecommunications and Electronics department. This position is considered Essential Personnel and is subject to duties outside of their normal schedule.
Salary Range: $45, 431.00 - $79,504.00

To qualify for the Sign-on Bonus, a newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 to 40 hours per week to be eligible. Those who are eligible and working less than 40 hours a week will receive a prorated rate.
All Sign-on Bonuses are contingent upon budget and final eligibility determination as of the effective date of hire.
