Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation is seeking skilled technicians to assist in the fabrication, integration, and on-site installation of C4ISR shipboard systems across Navy and MSC vessels. You will support technical staff in assembling electrical and mechanical circuits, wiring, and equipment racks, following NAVSEA standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 5–8 years of direct C4I shipboard system installation experience.
• Experience installing/running cables and dressing shipboard cableways per NAVSEA standards.
• Cable fabrication including hardwiring lighting, terminal/sym boxes, and Mil Std connectors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the fabrication and integration of C4ISR systems into multiple ship variants (Navy & MSC).
• Assist technical staff in fabrication, integration, testing, operation, maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical circuits.
• Provide feedback to production management and QA on issues/defects in design or during fabrication/integration of cables or racks.
• Perform on-site installation of equipment across the continental US at Naval Bases and shipyards.

Salary Statement

Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $24.85/Hr. - USD $41.42/Hr. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

Description

• Assisting in the fabrication and integration of C4ISR systems into multiple variants of ship vessels (Navy & MSC)
• Assisting technical staff members in the fabrication, integration, testing, operation, maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical circuits
• Providing feedback to production management and QA with identified issues/defects in design or during the fabrication/integration phase with regards to cables or equipment racks
• Performing on-site installation of equipment and products in the continental United States within various environments to include Naval Bases and privately owned shipyards

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• 5-8 years of direct C4I Shipboard System installation experience
• Experience installing/running cables and dressing/banding shipboard cableways IAW NAVSEA standards and practices
• Cable Fabrication experience to include hardwiring lighting, terminal/sym boxes, and building Mil Std connectors
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand shipboard provided installation documentation
• OSHA 10 Maritime - Active Certification (must be able to provide photo copy)

Desired Skills

• Seeking experience with RF, Heliax, Cat 5/6, & Multi-pin MIL-STD connectors, with regards to Multi-pin connectors we are seeking technicians with experience in building MIL-STD series M28840, D38999, M24308, MS3456, or MS3476 connectors
• Experience installing cables, electronic equipment, and/or C4I systems onboard Navy and/or MSC vessels within a shipyard or US Naval base environment, class ships to include but not limited to: CVN, LPD, LHA, DDG, or T-AO

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
