Qualifications

• Associates of applied science in engineering or a related discipline and at least five years of relevant experience.
• Constructing components, subunits, or simple models and adapting standard equipment; may troubleshoot and correct malfunctions.
• Following specific layout and scientific diagrams to construct and package simple devices and subunits of equipment.
• Conducting tests or experiments with minor modifications to procedures and recording test data.
• Extracting and compiling engineering data from field notes, manuals, lab reports, etc., processing data and presenting findings.
• Assisting in design modification by compiling data on specifications and materials and identifying data gaps.
• Participates in design, fabrication, integration, and testing of electronic circuits and mechanical packaging.
• Performing CAD-based design tasks including simulations, PCBs, and assemblies.
• On-site installation, troubleshooting, and testing of company products and equipment.
• Providing technical support to customers on operation and maintenance aspects.
• Developing test procedures, plans, reports, and calibrating lab facilities.

• Designs projects such as simulations, printed circuit boards, and electrical assemblies requiring schematics.

Salary Statement

Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $26.93/Hr. - USD $44.90/Hr. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

Requirements

• Associates of applied science in engineering or an engineering related discipline and at least five years of relevant experience
• Constructing components, subunits, or simple models or adapts standard equipment; may troubleshoot and correct malfunctions
• Following specific layout and scientific diagrams to construct and package simple devices and subunits of equipment
• Conducting various tests or experiments which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures as well as subjective judgments in measurement, selecting, preparing, and operating standard test equipment and records test data
• Extracting and compiling a variety of engineering data from field notes, manuals, lab reports, etc., processing data, identifying errors or inconsistencies, selecting methods of data presentation
• Assisting in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials that are pertinent to specific items of equipment or component parts; developing information concerning previous operational failures and modifications, and using judgment and initiative to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and seek sources to clarify information
• Participates in design, fabrication, integration, and testing of electronic circuits and mechanical packaging including the development of electrical and mechanical prototypes
• Performing detailed design tasks requiring the application of CAD equipment; designs projects such as simulation, printed circuit boards, and electronic and electrical assemblies requiring development of schematics
• Performing on-site installation, troubleshooting, and testing of company products and equipment
• Provides technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment
• Developing test procedures, test plans, test reports, and procedures to maintain lab facilities and calibrate test equipment, may conduct engineering tests and detailed experimental testing

Desired Skills

• Of the minimum five years of experience, at least one of those years included experience providing engineering technician services for C5ISR systems, experience may be concurrent
• Of the minimum five years of experience, at least one of those years included experience providing engineering technician services for air platforms or ground mobile communications, experience may be concurrent
• Previous experience supporting engineering technician services at NAWCAD WOLF

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
