Job description

Cambridge International Systems, Inc. is seeking a full-time Electronics Technician-OCONUS based in Charleston, SC. Candidates must possess a current DoD Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret SCI clearance.

Role Responsibilities

1. Work with schematics, drawings, manuals, and vendor info for electronic, mechanical, or electro-mechanical assemblies.
2. Conduct site surveys, prepare reports and sketches.
3. Assist in planning and executing engineering projects.
4. Perform PITCO, POST, and FAT testing.
5. Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to solve engineering problems.
6. Develop Bills of Materials (BOM).
7. Install Communication Transportation Systems, including enclosures, conduit, and racks.
8. Experience with grounding, bonding, and firestopping penetrations is a plus.
9. Route wiring for equipment.
10. Perform QA duties on assemblies.
11. Test cables with Fluke DSX-5000 or equivalent analyzers, including OTDR.
12. Install and troubleshoot Electronic Security System devices and CCTV systems.

Required Qualifications

1. Active Secret clearance.
2. HS Diploma with 5+ years’ experience.
3. Experience using power tools.
4. Familiarity with standard C4I System installation efforts.
5. Ability to red-line electrical and telecom drawings.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Desired Qualifications

1. Experience with multi-pin serial connectors.
2. OSP and Confined Space experience.
3. Experience with Electronic Surveillance Systems, A/V systems, and fiber optic/copper cable fabrication.

Travel Requirements

• Travel up to 60%, both CONUS and OCONUS, with occasional overnight trips.
• Active passport required for OCONUS travel.

Work Conditions

• Office environment, sitting at a desk, working on a computer.
• May require short-distance travel on-site.
