We are seeking an Electronics Technician 2 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of the SES Strategic Business Unit, you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates, and maintains electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio-visual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial customers across high-growth markets.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Installing and maintaining electronic security systems.
- Performing preventive maintenance requirements.
- Conducting inspections, evaluations, and inventory.
- Leading teams on small, moderately complex service projects.
- Conducting and documenting daily toolbox talks.
- Installing all head-end equipment at local and global levels per design packages.
- Programming head-end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV systems.
- Troubleshooting and isolating systems and hardware locally and globally.
- Providing on-site software commissioning and testing, along with inspections, evaluations, and inventory.
Qualifications
Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information. ACTIVE TS/SCI w/ POLYGRAPH clearance is REQUIRED
Education/Experience:
- HS diploma or GED, Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 hours), or
- Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or
- Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program, plus
- At least three (3) additional years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities.
- Valid driver's license required; ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle may be necessary. Candidates must have an acceptable driving record.
Required Progressive Experience:
- 4+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance on multiple systems and customer programs.
- At least 3 years of this experience focused on electronic security systems.
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Good time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is a plus.
Desired / Advantageous Qualifications:
- Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, CCTV systems (e.g., CCURE, Lenel, Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems, FFT, DIVAR, Windows OS, and related systems).

Abilities
- The ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, demonstrating physical strength and stamina.
- Relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
- Work at heights up to 60 feet, climbing and maintaining balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and ladders.
- Perform routine physical tasks such as walking, climbing, lifting, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead.
- Good vision (corrected if necessary), color vision, hearing, and communication skills in English.
- Use standard ladders and tools safely within weight limits.
- Recognize potential problems and apply general rules to specific issues.
- Integrate information to form general conclusions, noticing details at close range.
