We are seeking an Electronics Technician 2 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of the SES Strategic Business Unit, you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates, and maintains electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio-visual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial customers across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Installing and maintaining electronic security systems.
  • Performing preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Conducting inspections, evaluations, and inventory.
  • Leading teams on small, moderately complex service projects.
  • Conducting and documenting daily toolbox talks.
  • Installing all head-end equipment at local and global levels per design packages.
  • Programming head-end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV systems.
  • Troubleshooting and isolating systems and hardware locally and globally.
  • Providing on-site software commissioning and testing, along with inspections, evaluations, and inventory.
Qualifications

Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information. ACTIVE TS/SCI w/ POLYGRAPH clearance is REQUIRED

Education/Experience:

  • HS diploma or GED, Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 hours), or
  • Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or
  • Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program, plus
  • At least three (3) additional years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities.
  • Valid driver's license required; ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle may be necessary. Candidates must have an acceptable driving record.

Required Progressive Experience:

  • 4+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance on multiple systems and customer programs.
  • At least 3 years of this experience focused on electronic security systems.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Good time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is a plus.

Desired / Advantageous Qualifications:

  • Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, CCTV systems (e.g., CCURE, Lenel, Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems, FFT, DIVAR, Windows OS, and related systems).

Abilities
  • The ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, demonstrating physical strength and stamina.
  • Relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
  • Work at heights up to 60 feet, climbing and maintaining balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and ladders.
  • Perform routine physical tasks such as walking, climbing, lifting, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead.
  • Good vision (corrected if necessary), color vision, hearing, and communication skills in English.
  • Use standard ladders and tools safely within weight limits.
  • Recognize potential problems and apply general rules to specific issues.
  • Integrate information to form general conclusions, noticing details at close range.
  • Effective listening and understanding spoken information.
