Job description

Job Title: Electronics Test Technician

IS&S is seeking an Electronics Test Technician responsible for calibration of instrumentation, troubleshooting, and repair of customer units to the component level of all analog and digital circuitry. The technician will follow FAR 145 repair station guidelines, interface directly with engineering to resolve issues, validate Acceptance Test Procedures, and utilize appropriate software testing tools.

Requirements

Required

• Two (2) years of technical education or equivalent
• Five (5) years of experience testing or maintaining electronic equipment
• Attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Familiarity with video and Ethernet circuitry troubleshooting (Flat Panel Instruments)
• Strong electronics troubleshooting skills to the component level
• Experience with ISO 9000 standards
• Must pass an eye exam
• Experience with Surface Mount Technology and through-hole soldering
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Proficient in using electronic testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, frequency counters, etc.)

Desired

• Experience in the aircraft avionics industry
• IPC-610 Certification
• RF experience (highly desired)
