Job summary

Technology-Service-Corporation in Washington, DC seeks an Electronics Technician with hands-on experience in communications equipment and RF technology. You will assemble, test, troubleshoot and maintain advanced systems, working with a multidisciplinary team on-site at customer locations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience, a degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, and an active DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent military experience with 5+ years of relevant technical experience.
  • US Citizenship with an active DoD Secret clearance ability to obtain DoD TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing and testing electronics and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and configure electronics and communications systems according to specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and upgrades on equipment and antennas.
  • Test plans and procedures for RF and electronic systems; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Support integration of new systems and components into existing infrastructure; document results.

Job description

TSC is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electronics Technician to support our customer in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technician with a strong background in communications equipment, RF technology and electronics. This candidate must be a self-starter and self-motivated, able to work collaboratively with others but also with general/minimal guidance and oversight at times. The technician must have a strong background in assembly, testing, troubleshooting, integration, and maintenance of advanced communication systems. You will have the opportunity to work onsite alongside other technicians, engineers and professionals at various customer locations, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced and challenging environment.You will have the opportunity to work with advanced equipment, tools and technologies to support both legacy and new communications systems across many areas of support, to include the following:Assembly & Maintenance: Assemble and configure electronics and communications systems according to specifications, Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and upgrades on equipment and antennas, Create and maintain detailed documentation for all work to systems.Testing & Troubleshooting: Execute comprehensive test plans and procedures for RF and electronic systems, Identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner, often in urgent and high-priority scenarios. Document issues, test results and corrective actions accurately.Integration Support: Support integration of new systems and components into existing infrastructure, Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on communications equipment and antenna systems.Customer & Team Interaction: Work closely with a small and highly effective team to support various customers in understanding their needs to provide technical support and meet their requirements, Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure project success, Communicate project status and technical information effectively to peers & leadership.Required Qualifications:Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent military experience and 5 or more years of relevant technical experienceUS Citizenship with an active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI clearance.Experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing and testing electronics and systems.Ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds.Experience with technical requirements and documentation.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact effectively with customers and peers.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high-stress, high-speed environment.Preferred Qualifications:Proven hands-on experience with electronics, RF or communications systems.Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Strong understanding of electrical tools and equipment (crimpers, dies, multimeter, presses, connectors, contacts, wire gauges/types, soldering, etc.)Experience working hands-on with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, oscilloscopes and/or other RF test equipment.TSC Benefits:TSC offers a stable work environment, a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefit package; including ESOP participation, 401k Plan, Flexible Work Schedules, Tuition Reimbursement, Co-Sponsored Health Plan, Paid Leave and much more.Applying to TSC:Employment at TSC is contingent upon the successful completion of a comprehensive background check, security investigation, and a drug screening.ThisThis contractor and subcontractor shall abide by the requirements of 41 CFR 60–1.4(a), 60–300.5(a) and 60–741.5(a).
