Job summary

Trillium Professional in Moorpark, CA is seeking an Electronics Technician for long-term work on testing and assembly support of electronic sub-systems for unmanned aircraft systems and other products.

The role requires precision soldering, test procedure interpretation, and collaboration with engineering and production teams. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts with overtime as needed; pay rate is $30/hour.

Qualifications

  • Read bill of materials and assist in purchasing vetted assemblies.
  • Proficiency in bench-level troubleshooting of electronic equipment.
  • Ability to read test procedures and schematics and to measure electronic component values.
  • High attention to detail and dependability.
  • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (ITAR requirements)

Job description

Trillium Professional is now seeking an Electronics Technician for long-term work in Moorpark, CA!

We’re seeking an Electronics Technician to work on testing and assembly support of electrical sub-systems of our newly developed small, unmanned aircraft systems and other products.

Schedule is Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts, overtime as needed. Pay rate is $30/hour.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Perform precision soldering and rework on 0201-sized components, fine-pitch ICs, SMT and through-hole parts; IPC J-STD-001 experience preferred.
  • Build, inspect, and troubleshoot wire harnesses, ensuring proper routing, labeling, and termination quality.
  • Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, work instructions, and datasheets.
  • Use precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, screwdrivers, and tweezers for detailed electronic assembly.
  • Work with adhesives and assembly chemicals, including mixing and managing pot life.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Required Qualifications

  • Ability to read and comprehend test procedures and schematics and to measure electronic component values
  • High attention to detail
  • Contact Iron Soldering
  • Hot Air Soldering for leadless SMT Packaging
  • SMT Rework, experience with magnet wire is a plus
  • Steady hands with ability to see and to work with very small components
  • Cable assembly for a variety of different crimping applications
  • Ability to effectively discuss and document technical issues
  • Ability to strictly follow procedures and work instructions.
  • Ability to follow ESD protection procedures
  • Must be highly dependable
  • Must be well organized with ability to maintain a clean work area
  • Must be solution–oriented with a positive can-do work attitude with strong passion for electronics
  • Must have team-oriented attitude, accountability and ownership.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (ITAR requirements)
Physical & Operational Capabilities
  • Ability to perform precision electronics work: This includes tasks such as soldering, assembling, inspecting, and reworking very small electronic components using fine motor skills, steady hands, and appropriate tools or magnification equipment.
  • Ability to operate standard electronics assembly and test equipment: Must be able to use tools such as soldering irons, microscopes, crimp tools, precision hand tools, and measurement instruments while following detailed work instructions and ESD-controlled procedures
  • Ability to remain at a workbench for extended periods and maintain an organized workspace: Role requires sitting or standing at an electronics assembly bench, focusing on detailed work, inspecting components, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working under a microscope with components smaller than 0402 surface mount components
  • The desire to learn advanced microelectronic assembly skills: Ex: Wire Bonding, Die Attach, Epoxy systems, Eutectic Soldering, etc.
