Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electronics Technician to join our Engineering Lab in Maple Grove, MN. You will support complex products through design, fabrication, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, rework, and repair while aligning with engineering drawings and safety standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with prototype builds, soldering, and calibration, requiring an AAS in Electronics or 5+ years' experience. This on-site contract position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an AAS Degree in Electronics or 5+ years hands-on experience.
• Minimum of 2+ years experience as an electronics tech doing prototype builds.
• Minimum of 2+ years experience soldering.
• Minimum of 2+ years experience in an engineering product development, test, or production environment.
• Familiar with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-610 or knowledge of these requirements.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently use electronic test equipment, machine tools, and hand tools.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches.
• Fabricate, assemble, test, and inspect per engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions.
• Conduct testing and generate report data.
• Perform calibration and alignment checks.
• Make equipment adjustments, modifications, reworks, and repairs.
• Work effectively as part of a group or team.
• Assemble electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
• Assemble, rework, and repair circuit boards with surface mount and through-hole components.

• Create test procedures, conduct tests, record data, analyze data, and write reports

• Trained and proficient in manufacturing & quality requirements of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-610 or have knowledge of these requirements

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
