Emprise Corporation is seeking an entry level Electronics Technician to join our marine engineering and software support team. The position is in Ledyard, Connecticut. The successful candidate will join a fast-growing provider of marine engineering and maintenance management systems. On our team you will interact with DOD and commercial customers to support and maintain the specialized test equipment used to provide Preventive Maintenance, Condition Monitoring (Vibration, Oil, Diesel Engine, and Thermography), Inspection, Log Keeping, Maintenance Planning and Life Cycle Engineering services to our government and commercial clients.
Position Responsibilities
- Communicate with customers and the coordination of shipping of electronic equipment to and from.
- Perform equipment functionality tests and/or calibration methodically and in accordance with documented procedures.
- Functional acceptance testing of newly assembled equipment in accordance with documented procedures.
- Perform final assembly of electronic devices from subcomponents to include soldering and cable fabrication.
- Diagnose errors and technical problems in equipment being evaluated/calibrated, determine proper solutions, and take corrective action.
- Perform troubleshooting work to resolve customer trouble calls.
- Troubleshoot data synchronization issues between data collectors and Windows based computer software (drivers, etc.) or tablet interfaces.
- Meticulous monitoring of inbound and outbound equipment calibration due dates in addition to equipment return schedules.
- Perform basic oil analysis diagnostics to include base line testing.
Desired Qualifications
- Solid written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office products.
- 2 or more years of work experience in a customerfacing technical service position; Or Electronics training equivalent to two years technical trade school, AA in electronics, or military technical school.
- Able to function both independently and within a team environment.
- Highly selfmotivated and able to set and meet goals/deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Have excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting procedures/methods.
- Ability to follow written technical procedures.
- Solid knowledge of MS Windows operating system software.
- Familiarity with a programming/scripting language.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance.
