Job summary

Anduril Industries in Waltham, MA is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer for electronics. You will drive strategic supply network development and cost management for Anduril Imaging's electronics across lifecycles, collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and manufacturing.

You will manage electrical BOMs, assess component risk, source alternates, reduce lead times, ensure scalability of sourcing, and help maintain AS9100 compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics.
• Domain expertise of value/procurement engineering at the component & product level.
• Ability to travel a 10-25% of the time for vendor on-site visits.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical BOMs, component risk assessments, and alternate component sourcing paths across product lines.
• Identify & mitigate supply-chain lead-time/sourcing risks, especially for PCBA components.
• Ensure scalability of electronics sourcing strategy as multiple product lines scale to full production.
• Conduct supplier selection across product lines and managing/expanding our approved supplier list.
• Work closely with suppliers to handle and resolve basic technical inquiries, consult with the design engineering team as needed.
• Collaborate with the quality team to ensure AS9100 compliance for any and all production electronics builds.
• Work with the manufacturing team to ensure proper release and transmission of technical data packages within PLM and ERP systems.
• Coordinate with Anduril HQ's PCBA commodity team & resources to streamline Anduril Imaging's PCBA procurement processes.
