Saab, Inc. in the United States is seeking a collaborative Electronics Commodity Management Professional to lead strategic sourcing for electronics across North America and international needs.

You will develop category strategies, negotiate first-time contracts, manage supplier lists, and support win-biz by onboarding critical suppliers. Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally; the role requires a U.S.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain Management or Engineering or equivalent required.
• 8+ years with BA/BS, or 6+ years with a Master’s degree, of experience typically in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management.
• Strong financial acumen especially related to sourcing and supply chain.
• Strong electronics technical background.
• Leadership and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to drive value in Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation, and Sustainability.
• Lead supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, and award of first-time contracts.
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics commodities.
• Support win business by onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand supply base and categories.
• Perform market research and analyze trends for electronics.
• Identify risks and opportunities with SWOT and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine future needs.
• Create an adaptable supply chain for electronics commodities.
• Lead supplier evaluations to understand supplier capabilities and processes.
• Conduct spend analyses to identify cost reduction opportunities and lead initiatives.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews for critical suppliers.
• Support Saab Inc. Small Business objectives and promote diverse supplier base.
• Develop a supplier evaluation and scoring system for data-driven decisions.
• Develop or modify standard operating procedures and work instructions.
