Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Iowa seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to set up and maintain production lines for repair and upgrade of returned customer products, while supporting technicians in diagnosing electronic systems to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role leads equipment setup, test fixture design, root-cause analysis, data collection, and collaboration with product teams to improve quality in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with the design or manufacturing of microprocessor- or microcontroller-based products.
• Background in electronics manufacturing, testing, or repair preferred.
• Experience developing automated test systems preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot to component level using schematics and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the setup of new production line equipment for testing, repairing, and upgrading electronic products.
• Assist in design, construction, and maintenance of test fixtures and test systems.
• Troubleshoot product failures and perform root-cause analysis on returned products.
• Collect repair data and maintain repair records and databases.
• Provide feedback to product development on design corrections and recurring failure trends.
• Assist in developing and documenting troubleshooting and repair protocols.
• Perform repairs on returned devices following safety and quality standards.
• Mentor operations and repair technicians in troubleshooting and repair.
