Job summary

Pratt Miller is seeking an Electronics Quality Technician II to perform inspections of electrical harnesses and other electronic components throughout the product development lifecycle in an ISO 9001 environment. You will work with internal manufacturing and engineering teams and occasionally communicate with external suppliers to verify corrective actions per IPC-620 and IPC-A-610 standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years in defense/aerospace electronics

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent required, associate degree is beneficial.
• 3+ years of work experience in a defense or aerospace manufacturing environment in electronics quality/inspection or as a mid to senior harness assembler.
• Experience or understanding in high voltage cabling and components.
• Wire harness experience in accordance with IPC-620 standard is desired.
• Experience inspecting solder, crimping, conformal coating, staking, and surface mounted devices accordance with IPC-A-610 standard is desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and end-of-line inspections as required.
• Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, specifications, and other controlled documentation.
• Identify and document issues with parts and processes.
• Verify results and document in a clear, precise manner.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to resolve nonconforming material issues.
• Examine incoming parts to confirm specifications and standards are met.
• Communicate professionally, verbally and in writing.
• Proficient with Windows and MS Office applications (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word).
• Adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
