Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation is seeking an Electronics Quality Technician II to inspect electrical harnesses and components across product development phases, from prototype to low-volume production, in an ISO 9001 environment. The role interfaces with internal teams and occasionally suppliers to address quality issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent required; an associate degree is beneficial.
• 3+ years of work experience in a defense or aerospace manufacturing environment in electronics quality/inspection or as a mid to senior harness assembler.
• Experience or understanding in high voltage cabling and components.
• Wire harness experience in accordance with IPC-620 standard is desired.
• Experience inspecting solder, crimping, conformal coating, staking, and surface mounted devices in accordance with IPC-A-610 standard is desired.
• Experience with performing electronic testing and inspection using portable measuring devices.
• Experience using Cirris cable testing system (or similar).
• Solid foundational knowledge of electrical systems and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings

Responsibilities

• Independently perform incoming, in-process, and end of line inspections as required.
• Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, specifications, and other controlled documentation.
• Identify and document issues; independently verify results.
• Work with engineering and production to resolve nonconforming material issues.
• Examine incoming parts and documentation to confirm correct specifications and standards.
• Communicate in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficient with Windows-based computers and MS software (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word).
