Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/chemical/plastics/manufacturing engineering.
• 3-5 years of electronics packaging/manufacturing experience.
• Automotive requirements such as IATF 16949 Certification, PPAP, BIQ, FTQ are a plus.
• Experience using design software: SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer, AutoCAD; Moldflow preferred.
• Knowledge of transfer or injection molding manufacturing.
• Solid fundamentals and understanding of materials engineering.
• Hands-on with production equipment; strong problem solving and statistics.

Responsibilities

• Work with enabling technologies such as transfer molding and precision automated grinding.
• Develop cost effective electronics packaging improvements and lead new product solutions.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for peer review on process development and next-gen processing methods.
• Hands-on responsibility for equipment including programming and SPC to ensure yields, throughput, and cost.
• Implement and manage real time SPC and use Six Sigma tools (PFMEAs) for process controls.
• Support Automotive Readiness for IATF 16949 Certification.
• Lead cross-functional development teams and monitor line performance to eliminate issues and improve yields.
• Collaborate with Design, Test, and Quality Engineering to implement yield and quality enhancements.
