Job summary

Vicor Corporation in Andover, MA seeks an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement, and support manufacturing processes and equipment for power component solutions. Collaborate with NPI, Quality and Design teams to drive robust processes in a continuous improvement environment.

Hands-on with equipment, monitor yield, analyze data, and implement corrective actions. The role requires a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred) and 1+ year co-op/intern experience, plus

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mech Tech; MS a plus.
1+ year experience gained through Co-op or internship.
Experience with Automotive requirements such as IATF 16949, PPAP, BIQ, FTQ is a plus.
Experience using CAD software like SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer, or AutoCAD.
Ability to analyze and resolve moderately complex technical problems.

Responsibilities

Drive changes with legacy and new technology products to improve yield and reduce costs.
Monitor line yield, scrap and equipment utilization daily; rework/disposition materials as needed.
Write qualification reports and prepare peer-review presentations for tech developments used by customers.
Develop, qualify, and program automated and semi-automatic equipment.
Collaborate with vendors to identify equipment needs that improve yield or reduce costs.
Lead cross-functional development teams and work with Design, Test, and Quality Engineering.
