• Collaborate with outside contractors and machinery equipment vendors.
• Support weekend work and emergency situations as needed.

Overview

Electric Boat is seeking an Electronics Mechanic to work in the Machine Shop for Facilities Department. Applicant must have general industrial electrical knowledge. Applicant must also be able to support the below requirements while adhering to all OSHA regulations, company electrical safety training practices and guidelines, NEC codes including NFPA 70E:

• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair control systems including servo control system, and PLC type systems.
• Must have mechanical and electrical knowledge of components relative to automation
• Must be able to read electrical, mechanical and hydraulic blueprints
• Must be capable of minor installation of temporary wiring system.
• Must be able to work with outside contractors and machinery equipment vendors
• Must be available to support weekend work and emergency situations

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 5+ years of experience in industrial and commercial electrical field including troubleshooting and repairing all types of control systems
• 5+ years of experience with motor control, PLC, and CNC machine troubleshooting.

Preferred:

• Trade or Technical Degree Program Certificate is desired
