Job summary

Jabil is seeking an experienced Manufacturing/Process Engineer to develop and implement high-volume manufacturing processes for circuit card assemblies and electronic assemblies using SMT and TH technologies. You will monitor quality, drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis, and provide clear, reliable processes to maintain high yields and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years manufacturing/process engineering experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Knowledge of components, PCBs, and chemistries used in electronics manufacturing.
• Understanding of IPC-610/J-STD-001 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret customer documentation, quality requirements and Engineering Changes.
• Design and develop processes to meet product and customer requirements; determine Process Flow.
• Create operator work instructions for automated and manual processes including inspection points.
• Design, order and validate process tooling including SMT stencils, wave pallets, tooling, jigs, fixtures.
• Create SMT and Through-Hole soldering profiles.
• Maintain customer BOMs; ensure process parameters meet IPC-610/J-STD-001 Class 3 requirements.
• Support product launches and implement improvements.
• Assist production in resolving issues related to Man/Method/Machine/Material/Measurement/Environment.
• Monitor metrics like CRR, FPY, and Scrap; propose improvement plans.
• Balance and optimize line throughput; minimize changeover downtime.
• Provide guidance and training to Manufacturing Engineering staff.
