Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Quality Engineer II to drive quality across product lifecycles in a manufacturing setting. You will develop and maintain quality plans, perform CAPA, participate in design reviews, and lead audits to ensure ISO 9001/AS9100/IATF16949 alignment.

You will analyze data for trends, mentor staff, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to deliver defect-free products. EMS experience is preferred and ASQ credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 3-5 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (EMS preferred).
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
• Proficiency with SPC, MSA, and other quality tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with root cause analysis methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
• ASQ certifications (CQE, CSSBB) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality plans, procedures, and documentation for new and existing products and processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement CAPA for quality issues.
• Participate in design reviews, process validations, and product launches to ensure quality considerations.
• Perform statistical analysis to identify trends, measure process capability, and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related problems.
• Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality systems and standards.
• Monitor key quality metrics and prepare management reports.
• Train and mentor junior quality personnel and production staff.
• Support supplier quality activities including supplier selection and qualification.
• Drive continuous improvement projects using Six Sigma, Lean, and 8D.
